History was made on Thursday, 30th March, 2017 when the Association of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary were inaugurated in the church of the Archangels Parish Gaduwa Abuja.
The officiating Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Ambrose Anene, in his Homily, gave a brief history of the Association of Sacred Heart and urged the members to practice love wherever they go because according to him, the Heart of Jesus is full of love. He said Jesus was always working, healing and performing miracles and bore witness to His Father who sent Him. Jesus he said, did not stop doing well despite hatred by the ungodly and unbelievers who hated and persecuted Him.
He therefore asked the members to do good works always to bear witness to Christ who has the heart of love. “The heart of Jesus is full of love and it is because of his love for mankind that he gave up his live for every one of us. As a parish, we must not forget that Jesus Christ loved us; even when we were still sinners he gave his life for our sin. He added that the immaculate heart of Mary is full of Marcy and compassion, she is never tired of interceding for us because of her merciful heart.”
The inauguration was well attended by all members of the Association, all Parishioners, friends and family members and Garki Deanery officers. Some of the leaders that attended include the deanery president, Sis. Prisca Emeh, Sis. Francisca Okoro, Deanery Promoter and Sis. Helen Ajala, Deanery officer.
The Centre President, Raphael J. Omole, thanked the Parish Priest, the Centre Chaplain, the Deacon, Rev. Augustine Koroma, the Deanery officers, the Catechist, Bro. Uchenna Nwokebelu and all parishioners for their support, guidance and cooperation in making the inauguration a success.
