International Commandant General (ICG) of United Nigeria Chaplaincy (UNC)The International Commandant General (ICG) of United Nigeria Chaplaincy (UNC), Prof. Jidejisos J. Ejie has recently assigned duties to some of the paramilitary members to oversee its affairs at the National Assembly (NASS) in Nigeria.

This was contained in a release from the organisation signed and made available to this medium by Special Assistant (SA) to the ICG on Special Duties, Chaplain Ephraim B. Yayock.

The appointment went thus: The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Senate President, Hon. Ibrahim Yusuf Gama was made Nass Director in UNC bill before the senate; the Chief Whip of Bauchi House of Assembly, Hon Danlamj Ahmed Kawule, Director, Nass Affairs for UNC; Hajia Fatima Jamal Taha, Director, on Women Affairs for Muslim. Others were Alh. Bello Abubakar, Deputy Director, Nass Affairs; Hajia Hadiza Haliru Binji, Director, Nass Matters, Women Affair in general; Alh. Ibrahim Dada Nakowa, International Director, Muslim Affairs; and Bilkisu Suleiman Amin, Deputy National Legal Adviser for the organisation at the nation's legislative arm of government.

The ICG in a speech informed the appointees that the reason behind their appointment was to give the paramilitary its deserved representation at the Nass, just as he urged them to do everything legitimately possible to ensure that its bill before the senate is speedily passed into law.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, their leader, Hon. Danlami Ahmed Kawule accepted the appointments with commitment, even as he promised to see to the passing of the bill into law.

A bill seeking for the passing of UNC into law had for some time been receiving the attention of the senate.
